Have you been studying Italian for a while but your mind gets blank when you speak?
Are you feeling awkward when listening to your voice and your pronunciation?
Are you struggling to find the right words when speaking in Italian?
Do you want to feel confident in different contexts of everyday life?
Learning Italian through drama techniques can help you to be confident, to manage communication breakdowns, and handle long silences. The workshop is designed for intermediate and upper intermediate students of Italian and there is no need to have any previous experience of drama techniques, it is just a different way to strengthen what you are learning in your language course.
What is involved in the drama workshop?
We will be working with voice, body language, pronunciation and intonation through a series of dynamic activities. We will use techniques employed by professional actors to help you to avoid getting stuck while you speak Italian. You will be able to memorize expressions and find the right words at the right moment in a range of common situations. Come and try!
